In the past year I have realized that serving with Texas Conservation Corps has been one of the best career path decisions I have ever made. I started a new term with purple crew beginning of February, and our first project was herbiciding invasive plant species. The project took place at Town Lake where mustang vine invades much of the native flora. We ended up making several trips around Town Lake to make sure we targeted all the mustang vine. I am enthusiastic to be part of a new crew and excited to grow with them these next six months. The best part about Texas Conservation Corps is the crew building and bonding that takes place during each project.
