During the last 2 weeks, purple crew recently spent time at Dahlstrom Ranch. Our goal was to preform habit restoration by using chainsaws and clear out any unwanted vegetation, while creating new trails for visitors to explore. We mostly used macleods, pick mattocks for scraping and cutting roots, carving dirt and removing rocks from the landscape. During the week we received an educational day because of the early morning thunder storm, learned about ways to improve your resume. It’s been a great 2 weeks, we finished up 2 miles of trail. While working we saw a variety of birds, wildflowers, insects, and an epic up close look of 2 owls attacking snakes.
Working at Dahlstrom was awesome! Purple crew looks forward to continuing trail work and maintenance!
